Objectives

Drawal, Inspection and analysis of imported fertilizers on arrival at Indian ports. Random checks of fertilizer sold within the country, training of State Fertilizer Inspectors and Analysts, Standardization/Development of methods of Analysis.  Acting as a Referee Laboratory, Technical advice on Fertilizer Quality Control to States

Salient features

• Mainly engaged in statutory techno legal functions of inspection and analysis of fertilizer samples and training to State Fertilizer Inspectors/Analysts under the provisions of FCO, 1985.
• Mainly a staff oriented scheme

Pattern of Assistance

There is no provision for providing any financial assistance to any one.

Procedures to apply

For Training Programmes of Analysts/Inspectors, the Institute invites the nomination of officials from the State Govts. & organizes the training. For orientation courses/dealers training, the programmes are organized in collaboration with State Govts. and CFQC&TI/Regional labs incur the expenditure.
